Design

Meinhards fon Gerkāns, a famous Baltic-German architect, was inspired by pleasant colours of Riga Castle, the structural boldness of Central Market pavilions and the Art Nouveau fondness for the natural motives. While their influence is seen in shapes and colours, the building’s layering masses are made from modern materials:
